Jennifer (Gormley) Klein | Executive Vice President
[ back ]
One look at Jen's shoe collection and you'll know that this is a professional woman who loves variety. Her typical day (though she says she has no typical days) calls on her to juggle deftly, and she thrives on it - calls with clients, meetings with account teams, writing, creating media plans, managing in-house details - anything and everything. Fast-paced is putting it mildly.
As executive vice president, Jen provides day-to-day account services and media expertise to a diverse group of business, real estate and legal clients. With an impressive media relations background, her 15 years of experience have landed coverage on behalf of her clients in both national and regional print and electronic media, including segments on CNN and other national and local television programs, as well as placements in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Business Times, and San Jose Mercury News, among various other daily, business and industry trade journals.
In addition to overseeing ongoing public relations programs, Jen has experience in providing crisis communications counseling. She has worked closely with senior-level management and other professionals to implement strategies to offset and/or counteract potentially sensitive or negative situations.
Prior to joining Blattel in 1994, Jen worked in Los Angeles at The Rowland Company, a national public relations agency where she was an integral part of the team that launched the successful California Department of Health Services' Tobacco Education Campaign. Previously, she was with the Los Angeles-based public relations agency, Durazo Communications.
Active in the community both professionally and philanthropically, Jen is a member of CREW-SF and The Luncheon Society, a prominent business group in San Francisco. She currently serves on the Gala Committee for the Raphael House, a homeless shelter helping families in crisis. Jen has also served on the Board of Directors for the Father's Day Council, an organization benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. As co-chairperson of the Father's Day fundraising event, she was instrumental in raising more than $100,000 for the cause.
A graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, Jen received her bachelor's degree in communication. Whether working on corporate identity or securing a media placement, Jen has a sixth sense for anticipating clients' needs and staying one step ahead and always in the right pair of shoes.
