Melinda Hepp | Senior Account Executive

Melinda joined Blattel following a year-long stint marketing for Willamette Valley Vineyards, an Oregon-based winery, where her claim to fame was landing a series of product placements of Willamette's most popular Pinot Noir on the hit TV show "Friends." So impressed were the producers with Melinda's wine (and marketing) savvy, they invited her to host the wine bar at the sitcom's cast Christmas party. As it turns out, pitching TV shows for product placement of wine was fitting preparation for pitching the media on story ideas, trends and her clients' announcements (although the phrases "hints of vanilla" and "fruity notes" are used far less frequently these days).
Two of Melinda's greatest strengths as account executive are managing account deadlines and her ability to adapt to fast-changing needs from both her teammates and journalists. Her enthusiasm and initiative to make something happen for her clients in the real estate, construction and legal industries are illustrated in the way she focuses squarely on results. During her work week, nothing thrills her more than seeing her clients in print.
Previously, Melinda held an internship as volunteer coordinator for Oregon Public Broadcasting, and she was a legal assistant for the law firm Kirby, McInerney & Squire. A recent graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Ore., Melinda received her bachelor's degree in rhetoric and media studies. Based on her wine knowledge and experience, she's assured us that we've demonstrated extremely good taste in bringing her aboard.
